Tunnels make wonderful shades, don't you think so? « Thread Started on May 2, 2006, 10:13pm »
Harlequin yawned lazily, laying in a bright green plastic tunnel. How hot can it get? It was so warm out. It was times like this that she wished she was a short-haired dog. She lay her head on her paws, closing her eyes contently. Twitching her ear to send a fly away from her flesh. This was how the white fae spent her mornings, doing her best to find shelter from the blazing sunlight that mercilessly beat down on her. She supposed this was why Pyrs wern't born with black hair, now that would be a beating on her. She closed her eyes once more, letting out a deep sigh.

The handsome male Toller made his way smoothly into the playground. He plopped down under neath a slide to get out of the sun. He propped his head on his paws. He let out a long sigh. Rhett scanned the surroundings curiously, he tilted his head. It looked like there was another dog. A white dog, a beautiful female. It just got better and better. He jumped up and then trotted over to where she lay. He smiled to her, then sat before her, wagging his tail. "Hello there, miss." He said with a kind dip of his head. She was even prettier up close, he thought. "I am Rhett." He said slowly, still his tail wagged and thumped the ground.

Panting still, even under the protection of the big green plastic tunnel, Harlequin managed a wag of her tail as the young brute greeted her kindly. She watched as he sat before her, and nodded a bit at his words. "Rhett." she said, nodding pleasently. "I am Harlequin, pleased to meet you." She said, nodding. She leaned up from her down-on-her-belly posistion, and sat, lifting her chin high into the air to stretch. Her tail wagged a bit now against the wall of the tunnel, making a swishing sound as the long hairs brushed against the smooth surface. She stood, carefull, and walked out into the sunlight and sat before him just as he had done for her.

Lady walked under the shade of trees and watched the human pups play. She looked over at two dogs. A handsome male was talking to a rather pretty looking fae. She shook her head, and walked past them. Not to close though. She hoped they didn't notice.
